Wow, we had no idea they were moving this fast with the Fordham Road/Webster Avenue redevelopment - the BoogieDown's first Best Buy is set to open there tomorrow!The Grand Opening ceremony will kick-off at 10am, with the first 50 people in line prior to 8:15am receiving $20 gift certificates. Best Buy will also be presenting a $10,000 check to The Pointe and the Wildcat Service Corporation... nice! There are 150 local jobs being created locally by this new addition to the Fordham Road retail area.
Oh yeah, did we mention who will be hosting the grand opening? None other that Earvin "Magic" Johnson. Not bad... we're actually even a little impressed. But we still won't be lining up at 8am in the rain to see him.
