Morris Park Residents Breathe Sigh of Relief... For Now.

Daily News' Adam Lisberg reports that the proposed 911 Center to be located in Morris Park is way too expensive and will be scaled back.

The Tishman Technologies proposed contract was close to $1 billion!!!

So they're going back to the drawing board to work on a redesign of the project which would bring the numbers down a bit.

It's a little sad that Bronx residents were saying all along that this project was too large in scope for a quiet, residential community such as Morris Park, but the only reason the project is being re-evaluated is because of the cost. Money talks, eh?
