The Almighty Loft

The BoogieDown gets a shout out in Elizabeth Harris' New York Times' Real Estate section piece about old-school loft living in NYC.

Two artsy types, model Leila Abdoulaye and designer Daniel Lundby, who live in the historic Clocktower building in Port Morris are highlighted in the piece.

Ms. Abdoulaye, who pays $700 per month for her room in an apartment she shares "with a rotating stream of models", describes her life in the Bronx by saying:

“It’s the quality of the place, the price of the apartment, and the social life,” Ms. Abdoulaye says. “It’s a nice place to live. A happy place to live.” [NY Times]

Mr. Lundby says he has "three times the space for the same price" as when he was renting on the Upper East Side.
