Confusion at the Polls

Oh boy... not exactly what we're wanting to hear.

Inner City Press' Matthew Lee is reporting that there's tons of election day confusion in the South Bronx, including missing names on voter registration lists and shuffling of long-time polling sites.

BoogieDowner experienced our own voter woes at PS 8 this morning when the poll employees tried to look us up by our FIRST NAME. Yikes.

West Bronx Blog is also covering election day chaos.

No matter how long the lines or how frustrating the process, stick with it people.

This is blatant sabotage...! Voters in districts with heaviest concentration of minories are being 'discouraged'. Really rotten shenanigans here...

Whatever people experience, please be patient (God willing) and cast your vote...

wow! as a long time reader and first time commenter, i have to say i love this blog almost as much as i love the great borough of the bronx, but wow, why so much "fanboyism" for obama, i know the bx, and the whole of nyc is a democratic stronghold, but there are mccain supporters here, im just so surprised that nyc residents would even think about voting for someone who is willing to remove the troops and sit down with these terrorist groups, which will without a doubt allow another attack on nyc, with my family living and working here i can never encourage that...without war theres no peace!

I voted at PS 220 in the South Bronx (140th Street). No problems, no lines, no issues. Hopefully it's just an isolated incident.
