Event Reminders

Here are a couple of midweek events happening in the BoogieDown:

'Bronx is Building' Lecture @ Fordham
Please join the Bronx African American History Project this Thursday, 2/26 at 6pm as they offer another installment in the 'Bronx is Building' lecture series entitled: “African Immigrants in the Bronx: New Cultural Currents.” There will be a discussion featuring Wuyi Jacobs of Afrobeat Radio and noted African immigration scholar, Dr. Bernard Hayford of Southern Connecticut State College. The event will be facilitated by Fordham sociologist, Dr. Jane Edward.
Event is free and open to the public. There will be reception with food and drinks immediately following the event.

'A Night of Bronx Flavor' @ Ann & Tony's Restaurant
Celebrate the upcoming new season of Bronx Flavor, a show dedicated to unearthing culinary delights from all cultures, at Ann & Tony's Restaurant (2407 Arthur Avenue) on Thursday, 2/26, at 8pm. Food and wine will be served, and after the showing they will be bringing out a sampling of their 'secret menu'....baked goat's head, tripe, and pig skin rolled with pine nuts, garlic and raisins.
