Listing of the Day: Bedford Park(?) Rental

2786 Bainbridge Ave, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms, $1,695/month

This apartment falls out of BoogieDowner's pretty tight definition of Bedford Park, but that's what they call it and the website is actually called "Bedford Park Apartments." BoogieDowner will refrain from altering the nabe name to North Fordham or Fordham-Bedford in this Listing of the Day. (For the record, BoogieDowner officially holds Bedford Park to be from the Grand Concourse to Webster Ave and from Bedford Park Blvd to Mosholu Parkway. This falls a good 3 block south of Bedford Park Blvd.) But we all know how crazy Bronx hood boundaries are.

Beyond all the amenities of Bedford Park, like proximity to the Botanical Garden, the Zoo, Mosholu Parkway, Lehman College, Fordham Univeristy, Arthur Ave, Williamsbridge Oval, Poe Cottage, and the Bronx Super-Library, this apartment is crazy big. Its 1,300 sqaure feet has a nicely done kitchen and bathroom, three bedrooms and a SECOND BATHROOM. Check out the floor plan below.

While BoogieDowner has featured 3 bedrooms that have rented for less than this, none of those had a second bathroom, and were often in different nabes.

Bedford Park transportation is unparallelled. B/D at Bedford Park Blvd and the Concourse, 4 at Bedford Park and Jerome, and the Botanical Garden Metro North stop a few blocks away.

Here are some recent-ish articles for those who really like to do research Bedford:

AMNY "Bedford Park, Bronx"

Most neighborhood boundaries say 198th St is the boundary for Bedford Park and therefore considering this building is 50 yards from 198 - hardly seems like a stretch - certainly in terms of "feel" - Bedford Park is a much better description than Fordham.
