NYC COUNCIL MEMBER FERNANDO CABRERA TO HONOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN DISTRICT TEACHERS

Here is a press release about NYC Councilman Cabrera honoring local teachers. The four teachers combined have 84 years in the system, so each should have about 20 years individually. That's no joke. The average new teacher in the NYC public school teacher lasts about three years before moving on.

Ad in TIMES a few weeks ago for a job fair for teachers of color. Imagine an ad for "white teachers"!
When will we truly become "one nation under God"?
When will we stop referring to Obama as a Black President? Why not "biracial," which is what he is? Better yet, why not, just "the president"?
We take one step forward and two - or ten - back.
