I question the wisdom of honoring Rosa Ayala. She disgraced herself last year by endorsing the corrupt former State Senator, Pedro Espada.

I seriously question Ms. Ayala's "character" if she was willing to get behind Espada. Exactly how is Ayala "upstanding" and a "shining example"? -- certainly not because she stands with crooks like Espada who steal from the community.

It's all politics and nothing at all to do with being "upstanding." It's time for real "upstanding" members of the Latino community to set standards for themselves and their community. Their children deserve real role models.
