Concrete Plant Park in the Bronx: Video of Before and After

Concrete Plant Park is located on Edgewater Road between Bruckner Blvd and Westchester Avenue along the beautiful Bronx River.

If anyone doubts the progress our beautiful borough has made please view the above video. It shows the transformation of an abandoned industrial lot into a great waterfront park enjoyed by may in our community. The accomplishment is a great example of what can be done when the community is united. Organizations mentioned in the effort include, Youth Ministries for Youth and Justice, The Point Community Development Corporation, NYC Parks & Recreation, and The Bronx River Alliance. In some ways the park, which includes elements from the industry that once existed there, is reminiscent of High Line in Manhattan. Kudos to everyone involved. Thank you for the hard work.

This makes me so happy to see. I think communities should turn more abandoned areas into parks. we need them.
