Rally Set for Today March 7th, to Protest Atrocities in Darfur Region of Sudan

Here is information sent via e-mail to the BoogieDowner, about a rally today protesting the bombings and other atrocities taking place in the Darfur region of Sudan. Thanks to who ever sent the flyer and good luck on your rally.

MONDAY – MARCH 7TH
near Sudan Mission & the United Nations
on East 47 Street at 1st Avenue
There’s a Small Café, but
a LARGE RALLY:
1)To END BOMBING of DARFUR CIVILIANS which, in recent weeks, DISPLACED 45,000 CIVILIANS from THEIR HOMES, and MAIMED & KILLED MANY HUNDREDS

2) To END the ARREST & TORTURE, or EJECTION, of JOURNALISTS & HUMANITARIAN-AID WORKERS WHO REPORT such ATROCITIES.
3)To GIVE ALL DISPLACED DARFURIS ACCESS to SAFE HUMANITARIAN CAMPS until there are SAFER PLACES for THEM to LIVE. (at least 4 million since Year-2003

4) To CONTINUE UNITED STATES HUMANITARIAN-AID that MEDICALLY-TREATS and FEEDS DARFURI CIVILIANS.
You will hear speakers from Darfur and knowledgeable advocates. You will meet concerned, caring people such as the Rally Sponsors: Darfur People’s Association of New York, NYC Coalition for Darfur, Brooklyn Coalition for Darfur, &New York University’s UBUNTU Anti-Genocide Organization.
