For those interested - 800 Grand Concourse is definitely not to be missed. As a residential real estate appraiser I have had the pleasure of seeing many apartments at 800, they are quite spacious and nicely laid out. They have a 24 hour doorman and the residents and building are very quiet! This building is also in the zoned area which is proposed to be part of the potential Grand Concourse Historic District which stretches from East 153rd Street and up to East 167th Street. Although the process has just begun, the possibility of it happening is definitely there.
800 Grand Concourse is not bad at all, and for 2 bedroom for 250K, looks wonderful, minus the mirrored-walls, a little tacky, but looks like a great space for great price
800 is an amazing building. We have lived here for two years, the doormen are great, the building solid and spacious, and it's easy to get to work in the city. We feel very spoiled.
