This is a studio in Bedford Park just south of Bedford Park Blvd. The apartment itself is reasonably priced and in decent shape.
Bedford Park Blvd has a few decent stores for simple errands: Rocco's Pizza, Allen Cleaners, a dinner, the Jolly Tinker (bar), and some small food store. On Webster, just off of Bedford Park Blvd., you'd have the really big supermarket, Pioneer. South on Fordham Rd. you'd be able to do real serious shopping and there's always 204th/Bainbridge to the north for more immediate needs.
Speaking of looking to the north of this apartment, Mosholu Parkway serves the nabe as a nice stretch of green space on which you can jog, bike, or just lounge. And speaking of green space, you're literally 2 blocks from the New York Botanical Garden.
The hood is saturated in transportation: B/D at Bedford Park Blvd. and the Concourse, 4 at Bedford Park Blvd. and Jerome, and the Metro North right at the Botanical Garden stop.
