Bloomy is finally allowing the $400 rebate checks (legally due to over 600K NYC homeowners) to go out.

BoogieDowner wouldn't say this was an unadulterated victory for homeowners. It was adulterated plenty with the rescinding of a 7% property tax cut for the next two years. Six of one, half a dozen of the other...

Not sure when exactly when the checks will reach the homeowners but "There's a slight chance the rebate might get to homeowners by Christmas," said one councilman. "If not, they'll have it in time to pay their holiday credit card bills." [NY Daily News]
