Health Fair Scheduled on Thursday November 10th at Casella Plaza

There is a health drive planned for this Thursday. Various free services, including flue shots, will be provided. Anyone wishing to donate blood can do so as well.

What: Health Drive: Free Glaucoma Testing, Free Flu Shot and Blood Drive

Where: 961 East 181st Street, Bronx (Corner of Vyse Avenue)

Bronx, New York – Councilman Joel Rivera will co-sponsor a community health drive along with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, New York Blood Center, Columbia University Medical Center, Aquinas Housing Corp., Twin Park Kids and Duane Reade. The health drive will be held at Casella Plaza at 961 East 181st Street on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 9:30am to 7:00 pm.

The community is being encouraged to stop by Casella Plaza for the health drive. Columbia University Medical Center will provide free glaucoma testing from 9:30am to 2:30pm. NY Blood Center is running a blood drive from 1pm to 7pm and flu shots will be administered to the first 80 participants from 10am to 2pm presented by NYC DOHMH and Duane Reade.
