Inaugurating of The NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce: 1st Bronx Chapter Office "Ribbon Cutting"

NEW YORK CITY - Gay and straight community leaders and elected officials will meet in launching the 1st Bronx Chapter Office on Friday, February, 24, 2012 at 7:00pm. Thanks to the partnership with Bedford Park Tax Inc, The NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce will be inaugurating their new office space located at 394 Bedford Park Boulevard "By Webster" Bronx, NY 10458

The NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is a not-for profit 501 (c) (6) whose purpose is to assist in and facilitate economic development opportunities for LGBT in business and minority businesses in the borough of the Bronx & in NYC & out of NYC.

Specialties:

The NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Inc. aims to implement a variety of services and programs for LGBT businesses in the Bronx and in the metro New York City area as well. Through education, networking, youth entrepreneurship, assistance with minority business certification, and facilitation of innovative projects such as a Mexican product distribution center, we aim to channel LGBT businesses into the larger market while advocating on their behalf to their counterparts in Corporate America. High on our list of goals is to open chapters in all of the boroughs of NYC and nearby suburbs NYC. Friday, February 24 will be the launch of the 1st Chapter in the Bronx.

The mission of the NYC LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Inc. - NYCLGBTCC is to foster economic development opportunities for LGBT businesses in the Bronx & in NYC. It is our hope to increase the visibility and strengthen the place of LGBT in business in the global economy, starting with our borough. We are committed to providing the necessary information and resources to our community in order to ensure their success and endurance, while assisting in removing barriers and creating new opportunities for minority businesses. Historically known for its predominant LGBT population, the dynamics of the Bronx & in NYC are undeniably changing as our community is preparing for rapid growth and development. This phenomenon is especially present in the LGBT business community as alliances are being forged and barriers removed. We intend to partner and work with government, corporate and small businesses, individuals, and organizations in order to assist in bringing about further development and opportunities that will assist LGBT businesses in being a viable competitor in the global market.
