Here is a photo sent from this years "Sweetheart Luncheon Dance", organized by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. The event celebrated Bronx couples who have been married 50 years or more. For those couples out there who qualify but were unaware of the event, please take note for next year. The luncheon is free to seniors who qualify. By coincidence, the photo sent has a few of my childhood Sunday school teachers from Zoodohos Peghe Greek Orthodox Church in Pelham Bay. Congratulations on the couples and their life long commitment to each other.
