Friends - This year, Community Association of Progressive Dominicans (ACDP) celebrates 30 YEARS OF SERVICE to our community. We will be celebrating this achievement by honoring other outstanding community leaders who have made contributions to our community and excelled in their service.

Our 30th Anniversary Awards Ceremony will take place at The Malcolm X & Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center located at 3940 Broadway, the corner of 165th Street, on October 20, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. We expect more than 100 friends, supporters and other community leaders.

Our confirmed Honorees include:

Cira Angeles, LA Riverside Brokerage
Raysa Castillo, Esq., Castillo & Associates, P.C.
Michael Edelstein, Edelstein Properties
William Garcia, Esq., Garcia & Kalicharan
Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative & CEO
Dr. Carlos Molina, Vice President Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development
CUNY in the Heights-Hostos Community College

During this very difficult fiscal time, many community organizations have endured a reduction in financial support which has negatively impacted on the services they can provide to the community. Our 30th Anniversary Celebration is a great opportunity to honor the people who make our community better while raising much-needed funds to continue the programs and services that have defined ACDP's signature value to Northern Manhattan.

ACDP provides high quality programs and services to over 27,000 children and families each year focusing on Education, Youth Leadership, Public and Mental Health, Food, Nutrition, Immigration, Citizenship, and Housing. We encourage you to visit our website www.acdp.org to learn more about our programs and services.

I sincerely hope you will join us in our efforts to support the social services, educational and recreational programs that benefit so many of our children and families.
