Bowery Boogie had the following brief description of the film:
"Mr. Tambourine Man is the film adaptation of an Oliver Sacks (author of Awakenings) case study called
The Last Hippie, and reportedly stars Julia Ormond, Lou Taylor Pucci, and J.K. Simmons. It’s based on a true story about a man named Gabriel who lost the ability to form short-term memories after the onset of a brain tumor. Music, specifically that of Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, become the only means for him to communicate with others."
