FOMP Fest Fun

The first Friends of Mosholu Parkway event this Saturday was a success. Despite a modest turnout, those gathered got to hear live jazz, poetry, reggae, and hip-hop. A big thank you to all the performers (This is Pressure, Rachel Simon, Lis von Uhl, and Urban Unity) and to those who helped put this together - the Friends as it were - (Christin, Barbara, Fernando, and Lou).

FOMP plans to build on this event and bring more programming, awareness, and volunteerism to continue to protect, promote, and beautify the "Great Lawn of the Bronx." Here are some pics from the event:
