Regarding : intersection of the Cross Bronx Expressway and Bronx River Parkway. "Rugman" although I appreciate his small business is a contributer to the traffic woes on that side of the merging service road. He can easily go to the other side of the service road where there is a closed gas station and way more space even for cars to pull into. But alas No, he is determined to stay on the side that causes more traffic where there are 2 Exit Ramps, 1 Entry Ramp, A U-Turn connection to the west bound Cross Bronx, A Busy Gas Station as well as the service pass through road all within Less Than A Quarter of a mile distance of each other, Where many people are caught like deer in headlights because they are not sure where to go or are trying to cut across 3 lanes to get the their desired side. All happening while the slow as molasses traffic creeps through that section of the Cross Bronx, due to the even more On Ramps a mile down the west bound side. I guess sine the drivers are sort of trapped it makes for good business.
For the soda tax, maybe they should just make it equivalent to the farm subsidies we paid for the corn they used in the corn syrup.
That would make it tax neutral, right? What drives me nuts is that right now, those of us not drinking soda are actually paying taxes to subsidize it!
Stop the craziness!!!
Re: the soda tax. It's what it represents. It is subsidizing more waste in Albany. What about all the other damn taxes we are paying in this highest taxed area of the country? Where did all of that go? Frankly I think we should avoid these sugary drinks, but I'm not supporting one more tax to support the Espadas of this State. Tighten your damn belt Albany!
