Fairway Grand Opening Today!

The ever-popular Fairway supermarket is celebrating the grand opening of its new Pelham Manor location today at 9am. We first reported that Fairway was opening a store as close to the Bronx as you can actually get without being IN the Bronx back in December while the Armory supermarket war was waging. It's too bad we can't have such a great amenity within the borders of our borough, but it will be nice to have the opportunity to poach another one of Westchester's shopping options...

was reintroduced four years ago. The alewife was declared a "species of concern"
by the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service back in 2006.
