College Directions
Navigating the college admissions process alone is daunting and our College Directions program assists applicants every step of the way, from searching to scholarships to writing the application essay. Ninety-six percent of our graduates are accepted to a 2 or 4-year college and many have gone on to Ivy League institutions. Our program helps students explore career options, prepare for the SAT, and offers one-on-one guidance. If you’re a high school student or a returning adult living in the Bronx, you are welcome! For more information, contact the College Directions Coordinator, Allison Torres at atorres@khcc-nyc.org or call 718-884-0700

After School
Our After School program offers children and their families a safe and fun environment when school lets out. Children ages 6-12 are invited for recreation and education Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pm. Our After School program activities include homework help, field trips, and multicultural events. Dinner is included. For more information, contact After School Director, Lamont Jackson at ljackson@khcc-nyc.org or call 718-884-0700 ext. 198.

Special Needs
Our Special Needs program offers individuals with a developmental or intellectual disability and their families a caring and structured environment. We offer free programs that provide special care and respite to working parents living in the Bronx. Our Special Needs After School program offers youth ages 5-21 tutoring, arts and crafts, physical education, and much more. Our Saturday and Sunday program is open to people up to age 25 and takes participants on recreational trips to places like the Randall’s Island Fall Festival and apple picking at Dr. Davies Farm. Services for older adults can be arranged. Dinner is included in the Special Needs After School program. Entrepreneurship Certificate
We’re also announcing an exciting new opportunity for those interested in starting their own business. Kingsbridge Heights Community Center has partnered with the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network, Inc. and Lehman College of the City University of New York to offer an Entrepreneurship Certificate program. This is a distance learning course taught by Lehman College instructors while students participate live via videoconferencing. Kingsbridge Heights will be hosting informational sessions for those interested in learning more about this innovative course on Wednesday August 17th and Thursday August 18th.
