The Bronx Council on the Arts
Presents
Culture Trolley Saturdays
and
The 5th Annual Mott Haven Open Studio Tour

BCA hopes to have a little something for everyone this Saturday, April 30th. From an artists' studio tour to a writing workshop to a jazz concert, BCA presents a variety of free events that are open to everyone.

The day starts at 12:00pm with the 5th Annual Mott Haven Open Studio Tour. Let the Bronx Culture Trolley take you to artists' studios not normally open to the public. This is an opportunity to meet artists, see how they work, and purchase their art. Catch the trolley at Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos at 450 Grand Concourse starting at noon, and hop on and off all day until 5:00pm.

At 2:30pm, you'll have the chance to hop off at "Write Your Life: A Memoir Writing Workshop" at the Mott Haven Library at 321 East 140th Street at Alexander Avenue. Sponsored by Bronx Writers Center, the workshop is for aspiring writers who want to write their life story. Learn techniques for recreating memories, writing for all senses and publishing your book. Click here to see other interesting stops throughout the day.

One event separate from the Culture Trolley is Jazz Guitar Duets with accomplished BxIndie artists Sheryl Bailey and Rale Micic. Together, Bailey and Micic have a chemistry and creativity that is fun, electrifying, and entertaining. See the pair perform at 2:30pm at the Mosholu Library at 285 East 205th Street near Perry Avenue.

This kind of BCA Saturday doesn't come around too often. We hope you can spend part of it with us!
