Round'em Up

Here are some Bronx-related stories which we've rounded up for you, our lovely readers, while trolling the interweb with our horse and lasso this fine morning:

Bronx middle school IS 339 has been featured on a PBS documentary for their creepy usage of webcams to spy on their students computer usage [City Paper]
BD Note: You should really watch the clip that City Paper provides from the documentary...The principal is muy creepy. Haven't they ever heard of simply blocking inappropriate sites and uninstalling all unnecessary non-educational programs from the computers?

A summary of topics that BP Ruben Diaz will cover in his State of the Borough address [Daily News]
BD Note: The address was scheduled for today, but has postponed due to the snow. We'll have to wait to hear what tricks Diaz has up his sleeves for the future of the Kingsbridge Armory...

I was looking forward to this farce of a speech where he will try to fool Bronx residents into believing we are better off now that those "evil" jobs and amenities are gone. Who needs jobs right Ruben? But hey, he had lots of ideas for the Armory that were better for the Bronx...so why STILL silent Rubencito?

This speech will be the same old "we are better off with no jobs" / "I have lots of ideas" bullshit. This ignoramus needs to go before he sinks the borough any further.
