Interesting articles about the Armory. I am glad the RE Board will be showing the true cost to this lost deal. Accountability is needed, and a running tally every day that this Armory remains vacant. Good job guys...Ruben may try to convince the unemployed Bronx residents they are "winners" but we know the truth. Can't wait for those billboards!!

Its interesting to note that the editorials that are both FOR the Armory deal are from the right wing NY Post and that the people trying to remind the Bronx what they supposedly lost, are the usual cast of unions and other fat cats like Spinola, who are the ones that would have benefited the most from this project. As usual, their riches would have come at the expense of the people of the neighborhood.

Spinola and his group are now going to try and portray Diaz jr and co. as bad guys because they were fighting for living wages for the people of the neighborhood? The audacity of Spinola and the rest would be funny if it weren't so disgusting.

Re: Hating the Yankees. Couldn't agree more. Perhaps if they weren't so drugged up, overpaid, overpriced, and actually lived in the borough they called home, I'd be more of a baseball fan. It's just a team for rich boors. Yeah, I'm sure I'm wrong. But shame, shame, shame on them for stealing our parkland. They take our tax dollars, throw us a few pennies back, and hope we'll keep quiet.

Jose..if you were aware of why the Armory deal died, you would know it WASN'T because of Rube standing up for anything but a small group of "local" businesses and grandstanding for votes. He certainly wasn't doing anything for the community.

This deal was 3 years in the works, and the ONLY viable deal in years and years of trying to do something with the Armory. There was no plan B, never ghas been. There was also never a living wage requirement, that is until a few "local" businesses felt threatened (or rather their profits) and decided to kill the community requested supermarket and ultimately this deal.

Educate yourself. You actually believe Ruben when he says the Bronx residents are "winner" beacause we have a vacant and abandoned Armory for possibly another decade or more, NO job, NO income for many residents, NO services/amenities for the community, NO opportunities. Yes..winners indeed...thanks Ruben!
