BD Reader J. Marin from Hunts Point sent in the below pic of just one of the many pieces of evidence of incompetency over at the MTA: We know the MTA's budget problems are bad, but maybe they should think about hiring a proofreader for their signs.
Thanks J. Marin!

When I finish my Ten Commandments for the Internet, one of the commandments will definitely be: Thou Shalt Take Extra Pains to Avoid Spelling or Grammatical Errors When Criticizing Someone Else's Spelling or Grammar.
@ anon 11:39am: While that is an important sentiment to remember, I also think it's important to point out that BD is a blog written by two Bronx residents mostly for fun...The MTA is an enormous operation that has millions of dollars funneling through it each year. You'd think that an agency working with such a huge budget could get its signs right.
MTA is definitely that brother who sleeps on your couch, stinks up the bathroom, never pays you back, dirties up your place, and eats all of your food.
I was at the Columbus Circle 59th St. station a few days ago. Both the A and D express stop there. The overhead announcement said "An uptown express train will arrive in two minutes" Which one?!?!? I kept hearing messages like this repeatedly. Two A's then one D, my train, arrived.

Humiliation is a good thing.
It may be painful at times but mot certainly good for the soul. I speak from experience : )
"mot" - MOST
Guess we all have to remember to remove the plank from our own eye before we try to remove the speck from our brother's eye.
