Okay, I'm over this Joey Reyes Series, let me know when its over so I can re-subscribe to this Blog. It's so darn depressing. I don't see the need to publish the same Dark-Depressing-Bronx-Still-Life-Shot with a shaded ring around it everyday. I believe the sun is actually shining today, go outside and smile for once!
I like the series. Surprised it's shot with just an iPhone and some apps. Whatever you do to get these photos Joey, it wonderfully captures and emphasizes the unique grittiness of The Bronx and the city. They are surprisingly crisp, unforgiving, and have a unique identity or sense of place about them. It's like you planned the perfect time of day to go out and get the shot. Thank's again, and keep them coming.

That photo is not dark; it is quite colorful.
ouch! sorry i depress you so much "anonymous". i just shoot what i see. how it is interpreted is all up to the viewer.
i understand if you do not like my photos but please do not take it out on the good folks who run this blog.
@jacob, thank you. i find this one quite colorful as well.
and for the record, not all of my photos have a vignette (what anonymous referred to as a "shaded ring")
I like it. I think it looks artistic and creative. And it is very colorful. That's what I enjoy about it the most actually. Thanks for posting it.

Hey Joey,
Check out the sunset hitting the Russian building (where the Russian diplomats live?) in north Riverdale just east of the Henry Hudson Parkway.
It's a big white building that gets all orange with a crazy glow when the sun hits it. I used to see it from my fire escape in Kingsbridge Heights
