Application Deadline- February 15, 2012
If you are interested in revitalizing a space in your neighborhood, New York Restoration Project (NYRP) will be providing building materials and support to qualified organizations, community centers, schools, and non-profits. Projects are to open and/or enhance open areas into gardens or green spaces that will benefit the community.
The ideal candidate should be located in Washington Heights, East Harlem, South Bronx, East New York, and Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Get your Free Trees Tomorrow, November 16th, at the NY Botanical Garden

If you’re considering planting a new tree in your back yard, here is a great opportunity get one for free!!! The opportunity stems from NYC's desire to plant more trees in order to beautify our city and help keep our air as clean as possible. The tree give away will take place tomorrow and conditions do apply. If interested please do read on.

Wednesday, November 16th from 9AM to 3PM

Take home a free tree!!

The Alliance in partnership with New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, New York Restoration Project, and Million Trees, have teamed up to offer free trees in the Bronx.

Trees will be made available for individuals to take home to plant on private propety. Trees must be planted within the five boroughs and cannot be planted in containers, on rooftops, or along the street.

The following trees will be given away:
  • Cornelian Cherry Dogwood
  • Yellow Wood
  • Japanese Snowbell
  • Sour Gum/Black Tupelo
