Bronx Teachers Happy Hour at G-Bar Friday June 3rd

Here is some information sent by a teacher organizing a Bronx teacher happy hour, at one of my favorite Bronx watering holes. For everyone attending, say hello to Benny (G-Bar Manager), and enjoy the great food and drinks.

BRONX TEACHER HAPPY HOUR

School Closings, Teacher Layoffs, Teacher
Evaluations, Expired Contract, Budget Cuts

Come have a drink with fellow Bronx teachers
to build solidarity and discuss how we can
support one another in our fight to defend our
schools and public education.

4pm, The G Bar, 579 Grand Concourse (150th)
2,4,5 Train to Grand Concourse

Eight Bronx schools on the city’s Persistently
Lowest Achieving (PLA) List have been slated
for the “restart” model and will be put under
private management. What does this mean
for our schools? For students? For teachers?
Let’s come together and begin to show our
support for one another!

FRIDAY, JUNE 3rd

4pm, The G Bar, 579
