Henry Moore Exhibit Extended Again

We were happy to learn recently that the Henry Moore exhibit over at the New York Botanical Garden has been extended for a second time.

So we now have until March 15th to enjoy what was voted as one of Time's "Top 10 Museum Exhibits of 2008."

Hooray!

NYBG Henry Moore Exhibit Listed in Time Magazine's Top 10 Museum Exhibits of 2008

Click here to check out Time Magazine's glowing write-up of the New York Botanical Garden's Henry Moore sculpture exhibition.

By the way, you better get over there quickly if you haven't seen it yet. The exhibit ends January 11th, and it's already been extended once.

I want to cry thinking about it not being there anymore... The sculptures are such a natural fit in the landscape there, and it feels like they've been there forever. It will be so sad to see them go.

Event Reminder

Tonight's final concert of the New York Botanical Garden's summer series will be held on the breathtaking Enid A. Haupt Conservatory lawn. We've been to both other concerts in this series (classical guitarist Mattias Jacobsson with violinist Kristin Lee, followed by choral group Quarternity), and this jazz concert with the David Grossman Ensemble (featuring legendary drummer Jimmy Cobb and rising star Dan Nimmer) promises to be the best of the bunch. You can't beat sipping some vino and listening to jazz surrounded by the world renowned flora and fauna of the New York Botanical Garden. An added bonus is that most exhibits, including the Henry Moore sculptures, have extended viewing times until 8 p.m.
Admission details are as follows:
Adults: $20
Seniors/Students: $18
Children (2–12 years): $7
Children under 2: Free
Members: Free, including other Members Days benefits: 20% off all purchases in Shop in the Garden and 10% discount in both Cafes. Members can also purchase up to four Friend Tickets at 50% off the regular price when reserving free Member tickets online or upon arrival.
