Robo-Call From the Wabbit

Just received a robo-call from Westchester Pete. Nothing too new or shocking in the recorded message, but Mr. Espada claimed that he saved lots of senior centers and schools (which he didn't). He also claimed that "wealthy outsiders" [read: hey, kettle, look over here, it's the pot. I just wanted to let you know that you are really really black] are running a dishonest smear campaign against him. The call ended with the Wascally one giving the perfunctory, "May God bless you."

Was it in English or in Spanish?

I was given a choice. #1 for Spanish, #2 for English.

Did you see him on that nifty parade float of his this weekend? It even stopped at the corner of his "residence".

Just got a flier saying Espada will be giving out free veggies and fruits in front of the Mosholu Library on Saturday morning. I can't wait -- about time I get something from this creep! I just hope he doesn't make me sign something. Will let you know if he does though...

And he's giving out free school supplies.

Great.
His district doesn't have adequate access to fresh produce, and he's done... nothing.

I guess we should all be happy we can get some fresh veggies once every time he runs for election, right?

Politicians giving out free groceries, cheese, turkey, whatever. Oldest trick in the book. Make it look like you're doing something substantive, while robbing the district blind. He continues to take constituent loyalty for granted. Hopefully enough of them are smart enough to peek behind the curtain and vote his butt out office, and hopefully the AG reacts to the public outrage make to make some charges stick.

First the robo calls, and now the flyers all over the neighborhood. This guy just doesn't quit...
