Other Boroughs Must Be GREEN With Envy (Part 3)

Daily News' Bill Egbert reports on yet another green event in the BoogieDown...

Last week CUNY's Center for Sustainable Energy held its fourth annual Alternative Vehicle Technology Conference at Lehman College. One of the stars of the show was a compressed natural gas Budweiser delivery truck which operates in SoBro.

Also on display was the SoBro-based Down East Seafood zero emissions delivery truck. To read more, see New York Times' City Room coverage here.

One of the goals of the conference was to educate businesses as to how switching to green vehicle fleets can ultimately save money, as well as help the environment.

CUNY's Center for Sustainable Energy, which is based out of Bronx Community College, hopes to produce graduates who are at the forefront of the creation of a "green economy."
