Have edited to read 'critical.'Boogiedownerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08013028900628543820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2149362212571632662.post-6735059370887340252010-01-07T11:31:54.854-05:002010-01-07T11:31:54.854-05:00I don't think the letter was scathing, but it ...I don't think the letter was scathing, but it was a good clarification of the reality of this "living wage" rhetoric.

It should be noted that the precedent has been sent by the Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz that unless you want to bring jobs to the Bronx that pay whatever it is he dictates, you are not only not welcome, but will be public shamed and branded a racist, slave owner, and evil. This isn't for the sake of the borough or the residents, it's just to secure votes from the Democratic Bronx base.

What does this mean? Look for NO jobs coming to the Bronx under Ruben's dictatorship. Great way to start 2010. But on the brighter side, his Bronx economic plan of "hang out on welfare and chill until you get whatever salary you want" has killed any hopes for a Mayoral run. We dodged a HUGE bullet with that one....so something good comes out of this very bad situation.

Still waiting for all those wonderful "green ideas" and the long list of developers eager to redevelop the Armory and pay Bronx residents the salary you dictate. Surely there was a Plan B before you crushed this deal. What's the delay Rubencito?Guywithacausehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11839634055229244637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2149362212571632662.post-69244250945226396892010-01-07T10:58:13.204-05:002010-01-07T10:58:13.204-05:00The "scathing letter" in the Riverdale P...The "scathing letter" in the Riverdale Press is written by someone who works for the New York City Economic Development Corp, which could be described in a cynical-but-not-inaccurate sense as an agency that arranges the transfer of public assets to corporate interests at reduced or fire-sale prices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
